Accounting Assistant

- Take charge of financial administration including month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure financial management reporting is accurate and it aligns with group reporting standards.
- Conduct thorough analysis of monthly and quarterly budget variances, identifying any discrepancies discovered.
- Work alongside the CFO in leading planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Assume responsibility for the treasury process, including accurate cash forecasting.
- Facilitate the provision of information for annual reviews and keep a close eye on project financial statuses.
- Identify innovative solutions to improve productivity and assist in decision-making processes.
- Act as the main point of contact for financial matters for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead, oversee, and mentor the accounting team to nurture their professional growth.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with proven experience in an accounting leadership.
- Pursuing CPA, ACCA, or other Professional Accounting Designation.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting standards such as ASPE and IFRS.
- Proficiency in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize in order to manage diverse responsibilities effectively.
